Hand-block printed pieces are made to be lived in, washed, and loved — but they ask for gentleness. A short field guide to keeping them beautiful for decades.

Every RangMudra piece is hand-printed on natural-fibre cloth with vegetable dyes. The colours are alive — they breathe, mellow, and deepen with age. Treating them well is the simplest way to honour the maker's hours.

First wash

Before the first wear, soak the garment for ten minutes in cold water with a tablespoon of rock salt. This sets the dyes. Wash separately the first three times; bleed is natural and will gradually settle.

Day-to-day

  • Hand-wash or use a gentle machine cycle in cold water
  • Use a mild, neutral detergent — never bleach
  • Dry in shade, inside out — direct sun will fade vegetable dyes
  • Iron on the reverse side while slightly damp
